What is Float Therapy (Sensory Deprivation)?

Float therapy or sensory deprivation is a unique way to relax and detach from our fast paced world.
Defy gravity and float effortlessly for an hour, face up, in your own private room inside a spacious fiberglass pod (also known as a float tank, sensory deprivation tank or isolation tank), filled with 175 gallons of skin temperature water (94 degrees) containing 1000 lbs. of pharmaceutical grade Epsom Salt.  By detaching from your senses and from gravity, your brain is not having to process details about your place in space, balance, movement and other sensory processing. Your brain enters a unique brainwave state similar to that in between sleep and wakefulness, which allows for a potent shift in your nervous system. The result is a total body and mind reset.

You are in full control of the light, music, and pod lid during your experience. Be in complete silence and darkness or listen to ambient music. Leave the light on or off and the lid open, closed or cracked - you can customize the experience to your comfort. Floating is best known for its ability to reduce anxiety and stress, but is also very helpful for pain, injury, sleep issues or just to escape.

What to Expect

You will be greeted by one of our friendly float specialists who will escort you to our lounge to complete some paperwork. We will then have you view a brief orientation video to prepare you for your float. After answering any questions you may have we will give you a tour of our facility and to your private room. To ensure the comfort and safety of your experience, within the float room, we also give you a brief overview of the controls and procedures prior to your float. All you have to do is nothing for an hour. Happy floating! …… Then, after your float when you emerge relaxed and rejuvenated, enjoy our “refresh” room and comfy post-float lounge to help you slowly come back to the world.

You do not need to bring anything with you, other than personal toiletries like makeup, deoderant or if you prefer a special shampoo or conditioner. We supply all the amenities you may need such as towels, earplugs, soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, and hairdryers. For those that do not want to get their hair wet, we can lend you a bathing cap.

Preparing for the experience is essential for the most productive and enjoyable experience. Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, alcohol, and rushing to get here. Consider your schedule after your float, as the deeply relaxing and resetting float therapy is best coupled with calming and quiet post float activities.

You will likely notice immediate and lasting effects for days after your float. Enjoy them. The more you float, the more cumulative the benefits.
